Tokyo, Japan - October 1, 2008 – NEC Logistics, Ltd. announced today that it has completed the acquisition of NEC TOKIN Logistics, Ltd. a subsidiary distribution company of NEC TOKIN Corporation.
Until now as a logistics partner of NEC TOKIN Corporation, NEC Logistics, Ltd. has mainly provided international logistics operations outside of Japan to NEC TOKIN Corporation. But by this merger NEC Logistics, Ltd. will provide global logistics services to NEC TOKIN Corporation from Japan to other countries by utilizing its domestic and global networks, IT (Information Technologies) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) know-how and cooperate with NEC TOKIN Corporation to build an efficient supply chain of NEC TOKIN Corporation.
NEC Logistics, Ltd. positions this merger as a big step for optimizing the whole supply chain of NEC Group.
